It combines the best of the two worlds, using Ableton and Maschine alongside classic synths like the matrix and the Moog Sub 37. “I appreciate the new school, but I still like a combination of hardware and software.”

Kevin also brings his video at home with key advice for new producers on mastery of a few tools at the bottom rather than spreading you too thin:

“Learn your tools, do not use too much synthesizers and keys and plugins, especially at the beginning. Get some things you need and learn them well.
